Russia this Friday (29) condemned the Ukrainian attacks on two checkpoints in the Rylsky district of Kursk on the Ukrainian border and in the Bryansk region of Russia.
The governor of Kursk, Roman Starovoit, told Telegram, quoted by the Tass news agency, that the bombing took place this morning and did not cause any casualties or property damage.
According to the Russians, the border guards responded to the attack and destroyed the positions where the Ukrainian offensive was launched.
The Kursk region borders the Sumy region of Ukraine, where intense conflict has been experienced since the so-called “special military operation” launched by Russia on February 24 in Ukraine.
Moscow authorities, already in Bryansk, reported that the border post was also hit by a Ukrainian bombing, which targeted the FSB, the office of the Russian intelligence service. No casualties were reported.
Even today, Voloymyr Zelensky’s chief adviser, Oleksyi Arestovich, declared that the Ukrainian fighters had inflicted “huge losses” on the invading Russian forces, and admitted that the Kyiv troops had also suffered heavy losses.
“But the Russians are much bigger. They’re huge,” he said.
Russian assets
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the US President Joe Biden’s request to Congress for an additional US$33 billion for aid to Ukraine, including US$20 billion for weapons alone.
“The US Congress’ passing a bill allowing Russia’s assets to be used to aid Ukraine is an outrageous decision, a dangerous precedent for the expropriation of private property.”
The Pentagon condemned Russian President Vladimir Putin for his “immorality”. “It’s hard to look at what your forces are doing in Ukraine and think how an individual, a leader can justify this. This is immoral,” spokesman John Kirby said, and assured that the United States would continue to “support Ukraine.” .
