The US reiterates its support for energy supplies to Europe, but refrains from commenting on the embargo

White House press secretary Jen PsakiHe said that the United States will continue to support its European partners with additional energy resources, despite the decline in Russian supplies to the Old Continent. He also reiterated that the US government will continue to work for European countries to accelerate the diversification of their energy sources.

When asked about the issue, Psaki declined to comment on the European Union’s (EU) embargo plans for oil produced in Russia.

Recently, other members of the government, such as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, have called for caution in taking such measures so that global energy prices do not rise further and affect already high inflation worldwide.
