A 6-year-old American child who was trying to go to his grandmother’s house alone for the Christmas holidays got on the wrong plane and landed hundreds of kilometers away from his family.

According to CBS on the 25th (local time), an incident occurred on the 21st when a boy named ‘Casper’, who was trying to go from Philadelphia to Fort Myers, Florida without a guardian, boarded a flight (Spirit Airlines) to Orlando by mistake.

At that time, the boy’s mother handed the child over to the flight attendant along with the necessary documents, and his grandmother ‘Ramos’ decided to wait in Port Mysas.

Spirit Airlines only allows minors ages 5 to 14 to board without a guardian on direct flights.

But somehow, only the boy’s bag arrived at the airport where the grandmother was waiting.

The grandmother hurriedly ran to the flight attendant and asked, “Where is my grandson? “Isn’t it handed over to you?” she asked, but the flight attendant simply replied, “I have never taken a child on board.”

The flight attendant said, “It looks like the child didn’t get on the plane and missed the flight,” but the grandmother questioned, “How can that be possible when there is a check-in tag?”

As a result, it was determined that the child landed at Orlando International Airport, about 160 miles (257 km) away from Fort Myers.

The airline did not disclose how the child ended up on a different plane, but only said, “An internal investigation is in progress.”

The airline acknowledged the careless mistake and said: “We took immediate action with the family as soon as we discovered the mistake. The child was under the care of staff (while away from his/her family). “I apologize to the family for making them experience this.”

The grandmother said, “I want to know how my grandson ended up in Orlando. Her mother handed the child over to the flight attendant along with her documents, and then the flight attendant left her alone? “Why did my child get on the wrong plane alone?” she said angrily.
