Criticism of Fox News citing CNN poll results
Trump leads Haley by single digits in New Hampshire
The US political media Politico reported on the 10th (local time) that former US President Donald Trump reacted sensitively to the results of a public opinion poll showing that his presidential rival, former US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, was trailing by single digits in New Hampshire.
According to the results of a public opinion poll conducted jointly by CNN with the University of New Hampshire and released on the 9th, former President Trump recorded an approval rating of 39% here. Former Ambassador Haley ranked second with 32% approval rating. The margin of error for this opinion poll is ±2.3 percentage points.
The New Hampshire primary will be held on the 23rd. New Hampshire is attracting attention because it can determine the outcome of the early primary race.
On the 10th, former President Trump criticized Fox News for reporting on a CNN poll on his social network.
He complained, “Why does Fox News keep citing CNN polls (in which I am still far ahead)?”
Former President Trump then said, “The CNN poll cited by Fox News is fake,” adding, “Instead of that, look at the USA Today/Suffolk poll. “I was ahead in New Hampshire by 20 percentage points,” he claimed.
Former President Trump has mocked former Ambassador Haley, calling her a ‘Birdbrain.’
In a public opinion poll jointly conducted by Suffolk University with the Boston Globe and USA Today and released on the 9th, former President Trump and former Ambassador Haley recorded approval ratings of 46% and 27%, respectively.
This is not the first time former President Trump has criticized Fox News.
He also claimed last year, “(Fox News) is only trying to highlight the negative aspects of MAGA & TRUMP, just like it did in 2016.”
