A 10-year-old boy on a “shark tank” expedition in the Bahamas was bitten by one and was rushed to hospital.
The site, which would belong to a complex called Atlantis Paradise Land, promised visitors to dive “next to elegant sharks spotted stingrays and brightly colored tropical fish in this underwater environment.”
The young man, who is now stable, had traveled with his family from Maryland, United States, for a quiet holiday in the Bahamas. He never imagined that on Monday at 4pm he would be bitten by a shark.
“I am a police officer on the island and I have never been to the aquarium they are referring to. Due to the way it is set up they will have to talk to the staff of the complex”, said the commissioner. Chrislyn Skip on NBC News.
The jumps do not explain what protections existed where the expedition took place.
