In the Netherlands, a 4-year-old boy took his mother’s car for a ride and crashed into two other parked cars.

The incident occurred in the city of Utrecht in the center of the country on Saturday 30/4. Authorities said the boy left the scene of the accident in his pajamas and bare feet. Nobody was hurt.

When the residents of the neighborhood saw the boy walking alone on the street in the cold, the police were informed.

In good faith, police said on Instagram that they had discovered “a new Max Verstappen”, referring to the Dutch Formula 1 world champion.

The boy woke up on Saturday and took his mother’s car keys “for a ride,” according to authorities.

Shortly after police received the call that the boy was alone on the street, authorities were informed that an abandoned vehicle had collided with two parked vehicles nearby.

The car was registered in the name of the boy’s mother. When the cops called him, they put the boy on the line. According to police, he imitated the direction and gestured to turn the steering wheel during the phone call.

“That’s when we realized it was probably the driver,” he says in his Instagram post.

The four-year-old was given hot chocolate and a teddy bear at the police station before being picked up by his mother.

They all went to the crash site and the boy was asked if he could show him how the car was working.

Police said the boy unlocked the car with the key, put it in the ignition and put his foot on the clutch and accelerator pedals.

Police officers asked parents to keep their car keys in the future.

“Fortunately, this mini-driver’s adventure ended without much fuss,” the police added.
