As a token of its support for Ukraine against the Russian invasion, Denmark announced the reopening of its embassy in Kiev today during a surprise visit by the Foreign Minister.
“It is a very strong symbol of Denmark’s support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people to reopen the Danish embassy today,” diplomat Jeppe Kofod from Copenhagen, who made an unannounced trip, said in a statement.

The Danish government temporarily closed the embassy due to the security situation, and diplomats, who set up a temporary representation in Lviv, left Ukraine.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, together with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, visited Kiev on 21 April.
