Geneva, May 2 (EFE).- Switzerland has completely lifted all restrictions on entry to the country related to the covid-19 pandemic and has stopped asking travelers for proof of vaccination, the Ministry of Justice and Police responsible for immigration affairs.
The organization said in a statement, “From today, it is possible to enter Switzerland under normal conditions. It is no longer mandatory to present a document showing that you have been vaccinated or infected.”
He noted that this decision was taken on the basis of the positive development of the epidemiological situation in Switzerland.
Like most of Europe, Switzerland closed its borders in March 2020 due to the pandemic, after which the restrictions were changed several times.
Since then, authorities have kept an up-to-date list of countries considered at risk and where travelers were not initially admitted, but later this ban was changed to a requirement to comply with quarantine.
The ministry has confirmed that this list is now empty.
