Ricardo Piglia He was a renowned Argentine writer, literary critic and screenwriter. He was born in Adrogué, province of Buenos Aires, in 1941 and at the age of 14 he moved to the city of Mar del Plata. It was there that he discovered his passion for literature.
In the 1960s he studied history at the National University of La Plata. He also became a professor of literature at the University of Buenos Aires and in American universities.
