The princess, 42, underwent surgery in January at a London clinic for an undisclosed illness and was due to return to official duties after this Easter, although rumors have swirled about her health in recent weeks before there was no news on her conditions. After the operation she spent 13 nights at the London Clinic, near Regent’s Park, in central London.

Kate’s official diary indicates that she will attend King Charles III’s official birthday party only on June 8. This is her first confirmed official commitment since she underwent abdominal surgery in January, Britain’s Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday.

The wife of Prince William, heir to the British crown, will be present at the so-called ‘Trooping the Colour’, the ceremonial procession which officially celebrates the birthday of the head of state of the United Kingdom in central London.

As Colonel of the Irish Guards, the Princess will carry out the inspection of those troops during the event on 8 June. According to Defence, more than a thousand soldiers from the Royal Horse Artillery will participate in the ceremonial parade, including 400 musicians.

According to what was reported at the time by Kensington Palace, the official residence of the Princes of Wales, Kate had no intention of maintaining an official engagement until after Easter, at the end of March.

In the absence of information, the media has questioned in recent weeks why the royal family does not provide details about their health.

This Monday, the TMZ portal published an alleged snapshot of Catalina with her mother, Carole Middleton, which would be the first photo of the Prince of Wales’ wife since she was admitted to hospital on January 16.

In the photo, the princess is presumably seen wearing sunglasses, in the passenger seat of a car.

On January 29, Catalina left hospital to continue her recovery in the house where she lives with her family, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, on the outskirts of London.
