According to US President Joe Biden, inflation in the country is “unacceptably high” despite a slight slowdown in the consumer price index (CPI) in April. The President said he trusts the Federal Reserve (Fed, US central bank) will do its job to control the rise in prices in the main global economy.

“I believe we are building a strong economy and labor market, and I agree with what Fed Chairman Jerome Powell said last week: The number one threat to that strength is inflation. I’m confident the Fed will do its part.” Work with that in mind,” Biden said in a statement Wednesday.
