There is a wide and shared belief in many countries already unfortunately the day was Friday the 13th. Although there is a difference when the damned day is about Tuesday or Fridaywhich varies depending on the country, there are dozens of tragedies which explains the hatred that exists to this date.

The myth comes from afar … Guaranteed to be on a Friday the 13th Eve tempted Adam with apples; that a confusion was compelled to abandon the building of the Tower of Babel; and that Solomon’s Temple was torn down to the ground. They also say that on that day they crucified Jesus Christ. So since then, bad signs about this date have always been on the crescendo

Until we get to “Friday the 13th”, the title of the horror classic from the ’80s where the protagonist, Jason Voorhees, who terrified millions of people with his particular hockey mask and his obsession with blood and violence, became all an iconic horror movie villain.

What many don’t know, despite being horror fiction, there are many elements to the story’s similarity to a series of murders that occurred in Finland and the United States in the ’60s and’ 70s.

First, in 1960, three teenagers camping on Lake Bodomoutside the city of Espoo, in Finland, was stabbed to death by an unknown person around 4 a.m., an incident reminiscent of the fictional murders in Camp Crystal Lake and where the mysterious murderer was not identified. In fact, in 2016, a new film called “Lake Bodom”, sparked the same story.

Later, in 1977, a similar tragedy occurred, another unknown assassin attacked and killed three women in a Girl Scout camp in Oklahoma, and as in Lake Bodom, the kill was also not caught.

To add difficulty to these stories, then the character of Jason Voorhees, who is inspired by real assassins, served as inspiration for other assassins later as English Peter Moore, which in 1995 stabbed and killed 4 men in 3 months. The strange thing was that he confessed to the crimes, and later She denies all claims that it was her boyfriend, Jason, someone who doesn’t exist and everyone assumes is Jason Voorhees.

The fact is that the many tragedies that took place on Friday the 13th have made this day a date of evil signs full of superstitions. And although in many countries the date apparently is Tuesday the 13th, in many others the belief is installed that on Friday the 13th you have to be careful and “knock on lots of wood”, not get married or ride and, ultimately, try that avoid doing anything that could cause misfortune.
