Until Sunday, May 15, all kinds of professional or amateur photographers and journalists can apply free of charge. It competed for awards of up to R$70,000 for the best photographs and ocean reporting grants in a Unesco-sponsored competition.

The Ocean Link Statement aims to promote content on coastal-sea issues. This year the award coincides with the Ocean Conference, a UN (United Nations) event to discuss marine protection solutions scheduled for June in Lisbon.

The initiative also supports the Ocean Decade (2021 – 2030), which is envisioned by the organization’s General Assembly for the following purposes. raise public awareness of the importance of the sea and mobilize public, private and organized civil society actors in actions that promote marine health and sustainability.

The competition is organized by Fundação Boticário with the support of UNESCO. Prizes of up to R$ 30,000 will be awarded for the best works in photography.

reporting scholarship

Up to five projects will be selected in a report, each receiving a grant of R$8,000.

can compete trained journalists or professionals with proof of at least two years of regular practice. The candidate must submit a letter of consent from a communication tool that guarantees the publication of the report to be produced with the aid of the scholarship.

The report should address the relationship between climate change, climate, ocean and coastal-sea resilience.
