L ‘WHO it clarified that it would provide additional information and recommendations on how to limit the spread of this disease in the countries concerned.

According to the information we have, human-to-human transmissions occur in people who have close physical contact with infected people and show symptoms.said the UN agency.

Monkeypox is spread when people come in close contact with infected people and is easily prevented by implementing isolation and hygiene measures.

The virus currently appears to be transmitted as a sexually transmitted infection, increasing its transmission worldwide tenfold.David Heymann, an American infectious disease epidemiologist and public health expert working forWHO.

David Heymann clarified that people who believe they have been exposed to the virus or have symptoms, such as fever or rash, should not have close contact with others.

There is no existing treatment for this disease, but infected people usually heal on their own. Symptoms persist for two to three weeks. However, severe cases occur more frequently in children and are related to the extent of exposure to the virus, the patient’s medical condition and the severity of complications.

Depending on the epidemics, the death rate can vary greatly, but it remains less than 10% in all documented cases, mainly in young children.
