A 15-year-old Palestinian man was killed by the Israeli army on Friday near Bethlehem in the southern occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry said.
Zayd Mohammed Ghouneim, seriously wounded by bullets in the back and neck, died at the hospital, the ministry said in a statement.
In AFP engagement, the Israeli army said soldiers were the target of rocks and bombs while conducting a regular patrol in the Palestinian town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem. .
The suspects and Molotov cocktails threw stones at the soldiers, putting their lives in danger. The soldiers retaliated with live fire. One injured was identifiedhe added in a press release.
Nineteen people, mostly civilians, have been killed in attacks in Israel and the West Bank carried out by Palestinians and Israeli Arabs since late March.
Israeli security forces responded to operations in Israel and in the Israeli -occupied West Bank.
Thirty-five Palestinian and three Arab Israeli attackers were killed in Israel and the West Bank, who were partly members of armed groups, but also civilians, including a journalist covering an operation in Jenin.
An Israeli policeman was also killed in an operation in the West Bank.
