The president of the United States and the first lady hope to entertain a city on Sunday stricken with pain and anger when they met with families affected by the Texas elementary school massacre that killed 19 students and two teachers.
The visit to the city of Uvalde was the second trip for Joe Biden in a few weeks to comfort a community in mourning after a massive loss.
On May 17, he was in Buffalo, New York, to meet with the families of the victims and condemn white supremacy after a racist gunman advocating the “replacement theory” was killed. 10 black people in a supermarket.

The Biden’s visit to Uvalde is amid a growing investigation into the police response to the hunt. Authorities announced Friday that the students and teachers repeatedly begging 911 operators to assist them, even a police commander told more than a dozen officers to wait in a hallway.
Officials said the commander believed the suspect was barricaded inside an adjacent classroom and was no longer conducting the attack.
