The libel trial starring Johnny Depp and Amber Heard ended in Fairfax, Virginia. Before the final deliberations of these hours, the last person outside the ex-marriage who stole all eyes was Rachel Penningtonwho once knew to be the best friend of Aquaman’s protagonist.

A few weeks ago, Pennington testified for Heard and even burst into tears on stage. Raquel said she was scared of what Depp might do to her friend when the actors were still in a relationship.

“At first I wasn’t worried. Towards the end, when the physical abuse became more evident, I was concerned. I was worried that when he transformed, he might accidentally do something worse than he ever intended, ”Pennington said at the time, through tears.

For Raquel, who was also friends with Depp and wanted him and Amber to sort things out, the actor “could be unpredictable and didn’t have much self-preservation.”

Something so far never mentioned in the trial was the nickname Heard and his friends gave the actor. A nickname also used by Depp himself when he suffered violent kidnappings.

According to Pennington, Johnny called himself “the monster”Or how he could get it when he didn’t like something. Amber’s friend said she heard this to himself several times.

“We called him the monster … me, Johnny, Amber, anyone else in the inner circle who was privy to private things going on”, Pennington stated.

Raquel’s explanation makes Depp sound like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: “Johnny acted like he was wonderful during a certain part of an occasion when people went out or sometimes just privately at home. And I never have knew what caused it. The change happened. Sometimes he would explode on his own or his mood would change to something darker. “

Pennington appeared centrally to testify about a violent incident between the former couple the day before Heard went on the James Corden show in 2015.

Raquel was a neighbor of Amber and Johnny and knew many of the things that went on behind her doors. She lived in a penthouse in the same building as the couple, Eastern Columbia in downtown Los Angeles.

Camille Vásquez, key figure

In the final weeks of the trial, another supporting actress was also involved in the trial that has everyone in the balance. Her name is Camille Vasquezand he’s Depp’s feared young lawyer.

Among the new statements, Vásquez, 37, he had a meeting with the actress that stressed everyone present in court.

The lawyer showed his personality by handing Heard a face-to-face questionnaire, just like in the movies. He used Amber’s request that Johnny not look her in the face and exposed her for it.

“Mr. Depp didn’t look at you once during the whole process, did he?” Vasquez asked, to which Amber replied, “Not that I know of.” But Camille didn’t stop there: “You’ve seen it many times, haven’t you?” She asked her, and the actress replied, “Yes, I did.”

The nervous exchange continued with other questions from the lawyer. “You know exactly why Mr. Depp doesn’t look at you, do you?” Vasquez asked again. “Yes,” said the other. “He promised you will never see his eyes again, right? He kept his promise, didn’t he? ”The lawyer insisted.
