London – The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards photography competition opened for wildlife enthusiasts to capture fun scenes of safari-worthy animals in Kenya.
But you don’t have to go to the middle of the forest: any non-domestic animal – including insects – is worth recording as a photo or video while doing something in the park, on the street, on the beach or at the zoo. .
Registration is free and open to children and adults, amateurs or professionals.
Six categories of the photography contest
The competition is divided into six categories: land creatures, air creatures, sea creatures, portfolio (photo series), video and ThinkTank Photo Junior for photographers up to 18 years old.
Each participant can submit a maximum of 10 images and two videos of up to 60 seconds.
The funniest photo of the contest wins a safari in Kenya
The overall winner of the competition earns the title of Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year, a trophy and a week-long safari in Kenya’s Masai Mara reserve and a close-up look at Africa’s biggest animals.
The winners of each category of the competition receive a certificate as an Award-Winning Photographer. The winner of the portfolio category will showcase their work on the Amazing Internet website for one year.

The image of a golden monkey in trouble in China has been the winning image of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards photo contest.
British photographer Ken Jensen said that the expression resembling pain is actually a way for the monkey to threaten his opponents. But at first glance, the scene is more of a comedy than a threat.

British John Speir received the award for the best photograph of the competition in the category of Airborne Creatures. He had caught the moment when a dry leaf had left the dove masked.

Award-winning footage in the World Creatures category was made by Arthur Trevino, who describes the scene:
“When the eagle failed in his attempt to capture this prairie dog, he was not frightened. He leaped towards the eagle and surprised him long enough to take shelter in a nearby cave. The true story of David vs. Goliath!”
