Although the Brazilian president, Jair Bolsonaro, has not yet commented on Gustavo Petro’s victory in the Colombian presidential election, his son Eduardo did, and unreservedly said that Colombia now it is part of the “communist” countries of the regionalong with Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina.

With this emblem, Bolsonaro also identified Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina on the map, which, despite their many nuances and differences, are ruled by left-wing leaders.
“The responsibility of the Brazilian voter increases. It is no longer just for Brazil, it is for the whole region“, wrote Bolsonaro’s son, in a clear allusion to the elections next October in the country, in which his father aspires to re-election even if all the polls give the favorite to the progressive Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
In the same sense, the advisor for International Affairs of the Brazilian Presidency, Filipe Martins, said, also on social networks, another of the ideologues of the ultraconservative movement which supports Bolsonaro.
“Faced with the advance of the far left in Latin America, with subsequent victories at the Sao Paulo Forum, our responsibility as Brazilians is greater. God have mercy on us and give us the conditions to protect our country and our people “, said Bolsonaro’s collaborator.

Triumph of Gustavo Petro and defeat of the “Colombian Bolsonaro”
In the second round of elections held this Sunday, Petro got 50.44% of the votescompared to the 47.31% achieved by populist Rodolfo Hernández, a businessman who presented himself as an independent under the aegis of the anti-corruption League of Governors movement.
Hernandez, 77, was compared to Jair Bolsonaro and Donald Trump in view of the Colombian presidential elections, in which he came out second in the first round.
