Sesame Street is back in the spotlight. It has been announced that in the not so deep waters of the internet there is already a chapter from 1976 that the production had decided not to broadcast anymore, considering it “very terrifying” for children.
The chapter is dedicated to the Wizard of Oz and in which Margaret Hamiltonthe actress who plays the witch in the famous 1939 film. In the story, this character threatens David to get his lost broom back.
This chapter has only been broadcast once and because of endless complaints decided, so to speak, remove it from circulation.

The episode has now been uploaded to the web in an orderly fashion. It first appeared on Reddit, then was posted on Archive.org, and later appeared in the Library of Congress, Espinof reported.

One of the most dangerous situations experienced during the filming of the film is narrated by Aljean Harmetz in his book The Making of The Wizard of Oz.
While Hamilton was filming a scene where he disappears in a puff of smoke from Munchkinland, crew members didn’t give him enough time to safely get off the stage before the fire broke out.
“The flame caught on his broom and hat, ‘burning his chin, bridge of nose, right cheek and right side of forehead. The lashes and brow of his right eye had been burned; his upper lip and eyelid were badly burned, ”Harmetz wrote.
The actress suffered third-degree burns and was hospitalized with the help of a friend, as the film studio didn’t want to know anything about the fact that she was being treated by professionals and lacked days of filming.
While recovering at home, Garland he visited her regularly to take care of her son, as she was a single mother and could not move.
