A 20-year-old man from Utah revealed he met his biological mother via a Facebook message and later found out they both work in the same hospital.

Benjamin Hulleberg spoke about her adoption during a recent interview on Good Morning America, recalling how at a young age her adoptive parents, Angela and Brian Hulleberg, told her about her birth mother, Holly Clipper.

It all happened in November 2021, when Benjamin received a Facebook message from an unknown person wishing him a happy birthday. Upon learning that she was his biological mother, the young man asked to meet her immediately.

Benjamin is 20 years old and from an early age he knew that his parents, Angela and Brian Hulleberg, he had been adopted and wanted to meet his biological mother, whose only name he knew: Holly. In the dialogue with Good Morning America, Benjamin assured that he never felt a grudge against the woman who gave him up for adoption and that, moreover, the matter with his adoptive parents “was always a very positive conversation”.

Holly became a mother when she was a teenager. For the first three years the Hullebergs sent him letters and photos of the little boy, but then the updates stopped and her adoption agency closed in 2014, which raised the woman’s curiosity.

The woman searched the Internet and found Benjamin’s social networks. “I was 18 when I found it and I was very indecisive,” she said. “The last thing I wanted was to be a rock in her life. So I just looked from afar.”

Along with this, Benjamin wrote letters for a long time, got into an adoption register and he even took a DNA test in hopes of finding the woman he only knew as Holly.

Finally the day the young man had been waiting for for a long time arrived: Holly sent him a message on Facebook wishing him a happy birthday.

“I can remember the exact place I was when I got the message. I was at work. I was a machine operator and I remember I was on machine no. 15 ″, told Bejnamín.

Upon receiving the message, Benjamin didn’t hesitate to tell Holly that he wanted to meet her. “She asked me to meet right away, which surprised me a little,” said Holly. “I wasn’t expecting that, but we scheduled a dinner the next day to meet at the Red Robin with both of our families,” the woman said.

We sat hugging for about five minutes and crying. It just happened, ”the birth mother said.

“It didn’t feel like 20 years, that connection is still there,” said Angela Hulleberg, the 46-year-old adoptive mother, adding, “I think Benjamin is very lucky to have all these people in his life who love him.”
