The UN (United Nations) said today that according to information gathered, journalist Shireen Abu Akleh from Al Jazeera was shot dead by Israeli forces on 11 May.

“All the information we have, including the Israeli army and the Palestinian attorney general, confirms that the shots that killed Abu Akleh and injured his colleague Ali Sammoudi came from Israeli security forces, not random gunfire by armed Palestinians,” he said.
