NEW YORK, JUNE 24 (ANSA) – Former US President Barack Obama criticized the country’s Supreme Court decision to annul the right to legal abortion on social media.

“Today, the Supreme Center has not only reversed 50-year-old precedents, but relegated the most intense personal decision anyone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues – to attack the fundamental freedoms of millions of Americans,” he said.

Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi called the decision “brutal and scandalous”.
