However, he says he’s frustrated with the usual application process after receiving so many rejection letters in his relentless one job search.

Faced with the gloomy present, George began to think and got to work. It was then that he stopped outside the office buildings holding a sign with two QR codes, one to your CV and one to LinkedIn.

“I saw the story of a young man doing it (the QR code) in London a few years ago and it stuck with me,” recalls George, noting that the constant rejections motivated him to “think something creative”since it’s really “difficult to communicate with people when they can’t see or talk to you”.

Job search

“The application process is a bit more complicated than just numbers and paper. I have experienced it myself and am ready to show my best skills,” says the student.

“Some people have held senior positions and I have found that it is much easier to get in touch when someone sees you than when you send cold emails,” he adds.

He explains that he “gets so dull and soulless” and that he’s not sure that’s the way he wants to do it, so he’s decided to kick the board and show himself to the world.

Although he had stopped for a few days at the office post, George I still haven’t found a job. And as her wait continues, she has received all sorts of support after her case went viral.

“The first time I came, there was a lady who gave me a cinnamon bun and today someone brought me a cup of coffee. It was a great support,” she says with emotion.
