The Russian president, Vladimir Putinhe responded to Western leaders who mocked his athletic feats by saying this would seem “disgusting” if they tried to emulate their shirtless appearances.
Putin made the comment during a visit to Turkmenistan early Thursday when asked about Western leaders’ jokes about him at the G7 summit.
As they sat down to speak, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson joked that G7 leaders they could take off their clothes for “shows that we are tougher than Putin” amid the tensions between Russia and the West over Moscow’s military action in Ukraine.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joked that Western leaders might try to compete with images of Putin shirtless in a “bare-chested horse show,” one of his widely publicized athletic adventures by the Russian president.
“A disgusting sight”
Speaking to reporters, Putin replied that, unlike him, Western leaders they abuse alcohol and do not play sports.
“I don’t know how they would like to undress, above or below the waist,” she said. “But I think so it would be a disgusting sight in any case”.

He stressed that to look good “it is necessary stop abusing alcohol and other bad habits, exercise and sports ”.

In a note published this Thursday, New York Times warns Putin’s change of mind in recent days, unlike the first month of the war in Ukraine when he seemed tense, angry and even disoriented.

In a meeting with young people, he casually compared himself to Peter the Great, the first emperor of Russia.
A frequent phenomenon
Vladimir Putin is not alone in showing his power in quirky postcards. He not only he posed shirtless on horseback. he saw it swim in icy waters and fly with geese.

Another leader who usually does real photographic productions to show his power almost as if he were a deity, he is the secret dictator of North Korea, Kim Jong-un. He has also been seen in various photographs on horseback as a fairy tale hero.
He was seen in the videos, always in the saddle a white horsesymbol of the dynastic rule of his family.
The location chosen for the shooting is not accidental either. He was seen with his wife riding on Mount Paektu, a symbol of his dynasty and a place he frequents before making decisions.
