All attendees would be dressed as Batman.
The Egyptian government stopped an event that could have ended very badly in time. In a few days, a large group of people would have met on public roads to have a pitched battle with the aim of determining who the Egyptian Batman is.
It all started after a man claimed to be the African version of the DC Comics character on social media, something that, as we’ve noted, he did not like many of his compatriots.
The virtual debates became more and more intense and the commotion was such that someone contemplated the fantasy of finding the “real” Dark Knight of Egypt in the winner of a great showdown for all against all.

And said and done. The event, born as a joke, was gaining acclaim and gradually became official, with a call for proposals with time and meeting place.
But the noise will not materialize because the authorities have learned of the plan and have mobilized to arrest the organizers of the meeting, holding them “responsible for launching this invitation and creating the pages of the event on social networks”.
It goes without saying that they will also prevent a crowd on the scheduled day.
The event was born on social networks.
According to a statement from the Interior Ministry, the event consisted of “dressing up (as Batman) and meeting on August 13 in front of the Helwan metro station (in southern Cairo) to fight”.
In turn, Interior said the organizers called this event to “get material gains with ads and advertisements” and added that “all legal measures have been taken against them.”

For the pitched battle, posters and Batman merchandise were created, including flyers of all kinds and memes featuring the character driving a tuk-tuk, the rare vehicle that serves as a taxi in Egypt’s most famous neighborhoods.

It is worth remembering that in the African country demonstrations are prohibited and the authorities tend to avoid large gatherings of people, even during football matches, while the organizers of this type of rallies are usually arrested and in many cases even jailed.
On Twitter, the event caused a sensation.

The story of a meme
If we talk about Batman, it never hurts to remember curious stories related to the mythical character. One of them, without a doubt, it has to do with the Bruce Wayne meme slapping Robin.
The famous Batman meme hitting Robin.
The origins of this image date back to The best comics in the world (WFC) # 153, by edmond hamilton, dry swan Y Giorgio Klein, one of DC’s “fictional novels”. To pinpoint a bit, it can be said that the WFC works as if they were the “What if …?” from Marvel.
The 1965 comic is an alternate version of the Dark Knight in which Batman thinks Superman killed his father. A lot of interesting things happen in the episode. One of them is that The Batman teams up with lex luthor -the villain of Superman- and another superhero that is killed in the end.
But probably the most memorable part of the matter is the cartoon in which Batman slaps him in the side. Dick Grayson. Why does he do it?
The origin of the image dates back to World’s Finest Comics 153.
In short, the story shows a Wayne training to become an all-letter superhero and takes Grayson, aka Robin, as his pupil.
As Batman plans a trip to Metropolis to defeat his enemy, Robin steps in and insists that Superboy (Superman) would never kill an innocent. That’s where the famous slap comes in.
