MOSCOW, Jul 20 (EFE)- Russian President Vladimir Putin said this Wednesday that the West cannot offer the world its model for the future and that a new “more just” world order is being created.
“The West cannot offer the world its model for the future (…) The foundations and principles of a harmonious, more just, socially oriented and secure world order are being laid, both locally and globally, to the current order,” Putin declared at a forum in Moscow.
According to the Russian leader, this new world order is coming to replace a unipolar world “which by its very nature hinders the development of civilization”.
The Kremlin chief claimed that the elite of the Western world is now “in a panic” that other centers of global development will present their visions of the future.
“No matter how hard the Western and supranational elites try to preserve the existing order. A new era, a new stage in world history is approaching. Only truly sovereign states can guarantee a high dynamic of growth,” he said.
