5,600 investigations into war crimes

Ukraine has opened at least 5,600 investigations for alleged war crimes on its territory since the Russian aggression began, according to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova.

For the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, there is no doubt: it is a war crime.

So far, 1222 bodies have been discovered in the kyiv region, said Iryna Venediktova.

He also claimed to have evidence that Russia was behind the attack without giving further details.

Separately, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on scientists to study the effects of Russian propaganda that set the stage for Boutcha’s atrocitiesa town near kyiv that was under Russian occupation.

For years, Russia’s political and propaganda elites have incited hatred, dehumanized Ukrainians, fueled Russia’s superiority and prepared the ground for these atrocities.

kyiv and Western countries have accused Russian troops of massacre and of war crimes after the discovery of dozens of corpses on the streets of Boutcha, a small town northwest of the capital captured on March 31 by Ukrainian troops.

Boutcha has become a symbol of the atrocities of war, but the findings are not limited to this city.

Evacuation efforts continue in the western regions of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk said on Sunday that Kyiv had allowed nine humanitarian corridors to be used to allow civilians to flee from combat zones in eastern Ukraine.

All routes of humanitarian corridors in the Luhansk region will work as long as there is a ceasefire from Russian occupation troops, he said in Telegram messaging.

On Saturday, about 4,500 people fled west because of a dozen humanitarian corridors.
