The use of Viagra is momentary and now Nigerian specialists claim that lemon and lime improve it, in a study conducted on laboratory mice.
A recent study states that the combination of a squeeze lemon or lime with Viagra can quadruple the effects of the drug against impotence.
The study, carried out by Akure Federal University of TechnologyNigeria consisted of giving helpless laboratory mice the drug alone or with the juice of two limes.
Mice given Viagra with lime juice had sex within 15 seconds, while the others took more than a minute to initiate sexual intercourse. Furthermore, the former had sex with twice as many female mice.

According to research, lemon juice increases nitric oxide levels in the body, leading to better blood flow to organs, including the penis.
Blood tests in the experiment showed a 70% increase in nitric oxide of the mice that received the lemon juice, reported the British newspaper The Sun.
The academics involved say adding lime juice to Viagra could allow men to have sex in minutes, rather than recommended minimum of half an hour usual according to drug guidelines.
Viagra was launched worldwide in the late 1990s and has been one of the most widely used drugs for the treatment of erectile dysfunction ever since.
The principal investigator of the study, Ayokunle Ademosunsaid it is the first study to show that citrus fruits can help with impotence and wrote in the Journal of Food Biochemistry that the combination “it could be very effective in managing erectile dysfunction“.
The teacher Mike Wylliewho helped develop Viagra in the 1990s, told The Sun: “On this basis, those who want a boost they could drink a carton of juice and then take Viagra. “
Viagra and Alzheimer’s
In October 2021, a group of researchers concluded that sildenafil, the active ingredient used to treat erectile dysfunction and pulmonary hypertension under the brand names Viagra and Revatio, is a potential drug to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s.
In the journal “Nature Aging” the specialists published that the records of more than seven million patients were analyzed to determine that sildenafil is associated with a 69% reduction in the incidence of Alzheimer’s.
The authors of the work, from the Institute of Genomic Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic, in the United States, stressed the need to conduct clinical studies to support the conclusions of this computational analysis and verify the efficacy of the drug in patients with the disease.
“This study is an example of a thriving area of research within precision medicine, where the “big data” it is the key to connecting the dots between existing drugs and complex diseases like Alzheimer’s, “he said later Jean Yuanresearcher at the National Institute on Aging (NIA), the body that funded the research.
