Several people were injured on Tuesday after the shooting inside a brooklyn subway stationNew York, reported by the United States City Fire Department.

Firefighters arrived at the scene alerted by smoke coming from the station. Arriving there, gunshots were injured and several unexploded ordnance were found, a Fire Department spokesman said, CNN reported.

Shows photos shared on social networks several people were wounded and covered in blood treated on a podium at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood.

They also posted some photos of a subway full of smoke cars and so far it is not clear if the shooting took place at the station or inside a train.

While firefighters and emergency services were working at the scene, New York Police asked through social networks that no one had approached the scene.

“Due to the investigation, please avoid the 36th Street and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn. Expect vehicle emergencies and delays in the surrounding area,” they said.
