Are the bulls anti-capitalist? Doubt arose Monday in Israel when a huge bovine saw red and ran out of its enclosure to run into a bank.
The scene occurred in a branch of the Leumi bank located in an industrial area of Lod, in the large suburbs of the Tel Aviv metropolis.
A bull that escaped from its pen not far from the bank ran into the establishment’s parking lot before entering it, the Israeli news site Israel Hayom reported, broadcasting footage of the incident. His surprise appearance in the banking establishment caused panic among employees and customers, according to the same source.
No injuries
After chasing him, several people managed to throw a rope around his neck and then direct him towards an exit, according to the video.
A Bank Leumi spokeswoman confirmed the incident, saying the animal did not injure anyone or cause any damage. The bull ended up being recovered by its owner.
Israel Hayom joked about the level of “dissatisfaction” with bank charges reaching an “unprecedented” level on Monday at Israel’s leading bank.
