The photos don’t stop at the impact and do nothing but confirm the eras of terrorism that exist in Mexico, in areas controlled by drug traffickers. In two different events, the lifeless bodies of eleven people were found, with signs of existence beaten and tortured before leaving.

In one of the incidents, the bodies of a woman and five men were found dumped on the side of the road in the municipality of Pinos, in the state of Zacatecasadjacent to San Luis Potosí, in north-central Mexico, according to state authorities.

In a statement, the Zacatecas State Attorney General’s Office (FGJE) confirmed the findings and said forensic personnel were at the scene working on removing and transferring the bodies to the Forensic Medical Service.

In addition, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that it is working in coordination with the San Luis Potosí State Attorney General’s Office “for the exchange of information leading to the immediate identification of the bodies”, due to the proximity of the detection to the limitations of that states “It is not excluded that the victims or some of them may have originated in that area.”

In the report, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that progress in the investigation of these events, as well as the identity of the bodies, “will be reported in due course through the official institutional channels.”

The state of Zacatecas is a strategic point for Mexican cartels. Since last November, due to increasing violence and insecurity, the federal government has implemented the Zacatecas Plan along with the deployment of various security forces.

In 2021, the state experienced a huge increase in violence in the second half of the year and became the scene of several massacres and executions, as well as the emergence of hanging bodies, events that did not stop at the beginning of the year.

Five were dead in the trunk

In another incident on Tuesday, the bodies of five men were found inside taxi trunk in the municipality of Juchitán, Guerrero.

According to police sources, three of the corpses were beheaded and the rest were shot to death.

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) confirmed the discovery of the five bodies and launched an investigation for the homicide.

State Police received a report of a vehicle with an unspecified number of bodies on a highway in the town of Las Cuchillas, near the federal highway; in the afternoon, the Prosecutor confirmed the number of victims.

According to the report, the five bodies were inside a white vehicle with a blue public service stripe of the Marquelia-Acapulco route.

According to the EFE agency, Mexico registered 33,315 homicides in 2021 after the two most violent years in its history, under the mandate of López Obrador, with 34,690 murder victims in 2019 and 34,554 in 2020. In first two months of the year, the country accumulated 4,697 intentional homicides, 213 of them in Guerrero.
