Italy recorded 17,647 cases and 41 more deaths in the covid-19 pandemic this Sunday (28), bringing the total number of infections and deaths to 21,806,509 and 175,347, respectively.

The seven-day moving average infections fell from 22,554 to 22,294, replacing the fifth consecutive decline, while that of deaths fell from 92 to 89.

Italy also has 679,894 active cases, the lowest number since 24 June (678,178) and 20,951,268 recovered from the disease.

Compared to the previous day, when the index was 13.8%, the number of patients in shared beds decreased from 5,668 to 5,628 in one day, while it increased from 227 to 229 in intensive care units.
