Argentine politicians, former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva (PT), senator Simone Tebet (MDB), and former Bolivian president Evo Morales have shown solidarity with Argentina’s vice president, Cristina Kirchner, who was the target of an attempted attack tonight.
Through her Twitter, PT described Cristina Kirchner as a “friend” and regretted the attack by “a criminal fascist who doesn’t know how to respect difference and diversity,” according to Lula.

The incident occurred at the entrance to Kirchner’s home, where hundreds of protesters had gathered in recent days to support the former president, who is on trial on corruption charges.
