A mother comes under fire after throwing a “evil”-themed party to celebrate her daughter’s first anniversary. Janeth Zapata shared images of the girl next to a pinata resembling Baphomet, a goat-headed god.
The video of the children’s party, identified only as Lilith, has garnered more than 2 million views since it was posted on TikTok on August 10. The boy’s mother wrote in the caption of the post where the girl wore a bodysuit and a headband, “He says I had my best look on my first birthday, rumor has it.”
However, the theme of the celebration sparked disagreement in the comments, with some users noting that the birthday girl was named after a demonic figure in Jewish folklore.
“I really don’t know what’s going through this mom’s head,” said one social network user. “This wasn’t a birthday party, it was a sacrifice,” another joked.
“I’ve seen many websites reproduce images of my daughter’s party spreading lies,” wrote Zapata, who lives in Mexico, in response to the negative comments. “1. We are not Satanists. 2.
