Argentine President Alberto Fernandez said today that the exchange of messages between those accused of the attack on Vice President Cristina Kirchner shows that he will be the next target. The statement came in an interview with the Spanish channel TeleCinco on “El programa de Ana Rosa”.

Cristina threatened with a gun in Buenos Aires

35-year-old Brazilian Fernando Sabag Montiel threatened Argentina’s Vice President Cristina Kirchner with a gun. The man was identified by the police shortly after the attack.

The action took place on September 1 at around 21:00 (local time) when Kirchner arrived at his home in the Recoleta district of Buenos Aires after presiding over the Senate session.
