Two new deaths, but fewer hospitalizations due to COVID-19

Regional public health reported that two more people died in connection with COVID-19, out of a total of 418 deaths since the pandemic began.

On the other hand, 81 people were hospitalized, three less than 24 hours ago in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. Six of these patients were treated in intensive care.

The results of recent PCR tests show that 87 new people were infected in addition to 11 people who declared themselves positive for COVID-19.

Among the ongoing proliferation, the Integrated University Health and Social Services Center (Integrated university health and social services center) confirms that Roberval prison is one of the problem areas in terms of contagion.

Currently, the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec (National Institute of Public Health of Quebec) reports 1003 active cases in the regional territory.

The decline in hospitals is also noticeable for Quebec as a whole. Across the province, 22 new deaths were recorded in the latest report.
