EconAr: Opens the first fair to discuss knowledge, IT development and employment

One of the highlights will be the official presentation of the Committee for the development and consolidation of the knowledge economy, created within the Secretariat. The aim is for the sectors involved to plan joint actions to promote and strengthen common strategies to consolidate federal, inclusive and environmentally friendly growth in every sector that is part of the knowledge ecosystem.

There will also be a panel on Women and the knowledge economy: leadership experiences for the representatives of the future. There, Wanda Weigert, Chief Brand Officer and Executive Director of Globant Argentina; Verónica Asla, Argentina Location Leader of EY GDS; and Sofía Vago, CEO of Accenture Argentina, will share their perspective on the industry, business and personal leadership.

The event organizers expect around 40,000 people to visit EconAr in La Rural and participate in the workshops, round tables and talks on trends and opportunities for learning and engagement in the sector. In this framework, for example, the success story of Furious will be told, to find out how he came to have a regionally known eSports team; and JP Morgan experts will provide training advice in the most in-demand technology careers.

There will be exhibitions of innovative products and services; workshops on e-commerce, chatbots and Metaverse for entrepreneurs; presentation of innovations in AI, drones, simulators and robots. “The knowledge economy is a strategic sector in the development of Argentina, being transversal to all the productive activities of our country, which has enormous advantages for being a world power”, underlined the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa.
