As reported in a statement, Franck’s Santa Fe town-based company’s project was presented Tuesday at a meeting between BICE president José Ignacio de Mendiguren, and the company’s owner, Carlos Gonella.

“There is a growing demand for proteins in the world and a huge opportunity for Argentina. We are one of the the only six countries in the world with exported balances of milk and the fifth largest producer of whole powdered milk in the world, “Mendiguren said. And he added that” Dairy la Ramada is completely combined from beef and wheat to industrial food production such as powdered milk: this is an example of how you can put the second and third floors of additional value on the farm. “

Gonella pointed out, for her part, that “Argentina produces 30 million liters of milk every day and the world consumes that amount a day. In a country with large capacity to produce powdered milk, what is needed is financing to industrialize and export it.From our business group, we make this goal and the investment we present today will allow us to achieve an optimization in the production process to obtain powdered milk with high added value and lower cost.

“The world is facing a food crisis due to the pandemic and war in Europe, and our production has the capacity to produce products suitable for all markets. This product developed by La Ramada is designed for markets with lower purchasing power that will have huge demand ”, Mendiguren added.

Investments are contemplating the purchase of machinery, installations and civil works, funded by a productive investment credit from BICE and a special rate from the FONDEP of the Ministry of Productive Development, which covers almost 80% of total project. The initiative will work for approximately 6 months.

Lácteos La Ramada has a fully automated plant with a daily processing capacity of 500,000 liters of milk. The company mainly sells in the domestic market and allocates 15% of its sales in foreign markets, to destinations such as Brazil, Algeria and China. The company, which also makes balanced feed and soybean expeller, directly employs 350 people.
