In line with the generational change, the online sale of sustainable products has doubled in the last year: more than 4.3 million people have purchased more than 7.3 million products of this type, according to data from the study “Trend of online consumption with a positive impact “, published by Mercato Libero.

Argentina had a 21% share of the total number of buyers in Latin America, and sales generated in the country showed growth of over 101% compared to the previous year.

The survey, aimed at showing the trend in consumption with a positive impact on the platform, shows that buyers of this type of products at a regional level grew by 29% compared to the previous year, while in Argentina the increase was 16%.

According to the company led by entrepreneur Marcos Galperin, the first purchase of Mercado Libre by more than 380,000 users across Latin America was a sustainable product, of which 61,000 correspond to the local market.
