Leo Messi and his family’s dinner at the Don Julio grill ended up being a phenomenon of popular backlash and appreciation, for people who began to approach the Palermo restaurant. But few know that among the diners who accompanied the 10 Argentines was Adrián Suar, actor, producer and artistic director of eltrece, his ex-wife Griselda Siciliani and their daughter Margarita.
According to Adrián Suar, the dinner with Lionel Messi was not planned in advance, but was born spontaneously. The classic “I’m going to dinner somewhere.” “Come on, I’ll light up.” It is well known that Adrián -besides Lionel- has a very good relationship with Celia, the player’s mother, and also with Matíasone of his brothers.
When the Messis decided they would have dinner with Don Julio, they contacted Adrián, who was also keen to see the Argentina international star. Celia, Leo’s mother, has a soft spot for Margarita -the daughter of Adrián Suar and Griselda Siciliani- and wanted to see her. To this Suar also added the girl and Griselda. The idea was to go out for a while to say hello, but the conversation dragged on and they stayed until the end.

“We were going to stay for an hour and stayed until half past one in the morning,” says Adrián, “it was a beautiful dinner, with many anecdotes and many laughs.”
Suar also said that when people started to gather, the owners of the venue offered to take the player out the back door. But the position of the Argentine captain was firm: “No way – they say he said-. At least I want to go out and greet all the people there”.
“A genius”, qualifies Suar, who says that the group was also joined by the actor Gustavo Bermúdez, one of his best friends and obviously a fervent admirer of Lionel Messi.
