In MasterChef Argentina 2023 (Telefe, 9.30 pm), the reality show hosted by Wanda Nara, already the first 6 official participants have been defined. They were chosen from 24 candidates who had made it through the first stage in which 53 amateur chefs competed. The jury made up of Donato De Santis, Damián Betular and Germán Martitegui chose the 6 deserving of the apron that characterizes the cycle.
In yesterday’s broadcast, the three chefs also decided to eliminate four of the applicants who had passed the first stage from the apron race. As it stands, there are now 14 amateur chefs left trying to convince the judging panel that they deserve to enter the official competition.
“There’s a very good level, and that makes us happy,” Betular said earlier in the evening. “The level is good, but it still has to go up,” said Donato. And Martitegui warned that “the hearing phase is not over yet”.
The 24 candidates who passed the first stage of those hearings yesterday were divided into three groups. In all cases they had 25 minutes to make a dish with the ingredients they were given and without having to use all of them.
In the first group they had potatoes, eggs, shrimp, peas and parmesan to work with. While the candidates cooked, the judging panel visited their respective stations and advised them. Then came the time for the tasting and the verdict.
Of the top eight chefs, those who earned the coveted apron were dolphinwho is a student, e Stephaniededicated to the topics of press and communication.
Delfina prepared battered prawns with a pea sauce and Estefanía did the same with the presentation of a salad of sautéed prawns, poached eggs and vinaigrette.
THE REMOVED of that first group of applicants was the architect Natalia. The others continue to fight for a place on the reality show.
Antonio and María Sol: hugs and tears
Then it was the turn of the second group, who had to work with grilled sausage, mushrooms and spinach, among other ingredients.
At the time of the judgment of the chefs, those who managed to enter the competition they were Anthony -the nursing student from Salta who had moved the jury at his first appearance- e Maria Sol, who studies Agronomy. Moreover, Belenactress and model, she turned out REMOVED.
María Sol cooked grilled sausage balls with tomato sauce and egg. Antonio, for his part, managed to seduce the jury with a plate of scotch eggs stuffed with grilled sausage on pumpkin cream and onions.
The third and final group of eight applicants had to prepare their own dishes with minced meat, dry-cured ham and potatoes, among other ingredients. Those who have had the worst luck in the judgment of the chefs have been Martin AND Rodrigo: both turned out REMOVED.
THE apron winners they were Daniela, who is a notary, e Fiamma, who works as a photographer.
Daniela presented a plate of potato fillets with tomato sauce and herb salad and grilled asparagus. Fiamma opted for a pepper stuffed with minced meat, raw ham and onion, accompanied by asparagus.
As Wanda Nara explained, there are now 14 candidates in the running to try to get a place in the official competition of Master Chef Argentina 2023which will have 16 participants.
