The announcement surprised fans and brought great joy: Green Day, the band led by Billie Armstrong, will play at Vélez stadium on September 11. Thus, one of the most important American bands in Rock history returns to Argentina , this time with a very special guest artist, the legendary Billy Idol.

The presale will begin at 12 noon exclusively for BBVA customers, while the general ticket sale is on Monday, May 30, at exactly 12 noon. Tickets are available at: www.livepass.com.ar

the prices go up from $ 7,600 to $ 14,500 (service charge not included) and for BBVA Bank customers, they can be paid in 3 installments with no interest.

This year, Green Day has only performed live at a few festivals in Los Angeles, Tampa and Atlanta.

The tour itself will start in June in Europe, with shows in Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Holland, England, Ireland and France. In July they only have two loose dates in the United States, and in September the South America section will begin.

On September 9 they will be at the Rock in Rio festival, on the 11th at our stadium in Vélez, and then they will continue their journey to the United States and a festival in Singapore.

A band that is classic

In 2004, Green Day released rock opera american idiot which sold over 7 million copies in the United States alone, taking home the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Mojo magazine said, “It’s exciting material, the kind of record that sets new benchmarks for what’s possible with a 21st-century punk rock’n’roll band.”

In 2010, a stage of adaptation of american idiot it debuted on Broadway with critical and commercial success. Released last year, Green Day’s thirteenth studio album, Father of All …debuted at number 1 on the Billboard album sales chart and number 1 in the UK and Australia.

The sound of the trio was revived, and from June 2021, Green Day began with a world stadium tour, “The Hella Mega Tour”, with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
