First season of the series with Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld is available on Disney+
The Marvel series that introduced Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to the MCU, “Hawkeye”, is in the consideration stage to compete for an Emmy in the comedy category. According to the Varietyif that happens, a second season could be on the way from Disney, who chose not to limit it as a miniseries.
“Hawkeye” shows the Clint (Jeremy Renner) knowing his successor, Kate, a big fan of the Avenger and who does everything to have the same skill as him with the bow and arrow. Despite the confusion that the duo will enter, the Hawk will teach her how to become a hero without superpowers, just like him.
But not everything goes as expected, and the young archer only manages to do that at the end of the plot, when in addition to facing many villains, she overcomes the greatest of all: the King of crime (Vincent D’Onofrio) and proves to be a real heroine.
As fans of Marvel comics already know, Kate assumes the mantle of Hawkeye and later joins the Young Avengers, and in some missions works side by side with the official members of the team. Now that she’s in the MCU, will we see this timeline finally get off the ground?
The cast will also consist of Vera Farmiga (“The Conjuring”), as Eleanor Bishop; Fra Fee (“Les Miserables”) as Kazi; the newbie alaqua cox as Maya Lopez; and Florence Pugh reprising her role as Yelena Belovafrom “Black Widow”.
There is still no confirmation of the second season of “Hawkeye”, so far, Marvel has revealed only the first year of “Echo”, series of Maya Lopez.
