Recall that days ago Beck and Depp met on another stage for a small six-song show, which included versions by Dennis Wilson, Marvin Gaye, Jimi Hendrix and Killing Joke. Not new, the star of Pirates of the Caribbean played with Beck in a number of recent UK concerts and they performed together at London’s Royal Albert Hall, a meeting that took place just a couple of days before the verdict of the media ruling was announced.

the process

As is well known, the court in the case ruled that Heard was ordered to pay more than $ 10 million in damages to Depp (plus fines of around $ 335,000), considering that the actress “defamed Depp when she wrote, in 2018, a piece of opinion in the Washington Post alluding to his earlier claims of domestic violence ”, as is clear from the sentence.

In turn, in an unbalanced search for compensation, the intervening jury also ruled that Depp, in some way, defamed Heard in the course of the dispute of his accusations and then, solomonically speaking, decided that the actor should concede to the plaintiff the sum of two million of the same currency in relation to the “compensatory damages”.

“From the start, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome,” Depp wrote in a statement showing himself celebrating the verdict. “Telling the truth was something I owed to my children and to all those who have steadfastly supported me. I feel at peace knowing that I finally made it. “

Jeff Beck is an English rock and blues guitarist who played in several influential bands in the 60s and 70s. He is one of three major guitarists who have played in the Yardbirds, the other two being Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page.

For 25 years he maintained a sporadic solo career, despite not having achieved the commercial projection of his contemporaries. By the way, maybe now, together with Depp, I’ll be able to return to the foreground. His passion is blues, rock, rockabilly, heavy metal and jazz fusion, as well as he managed to capture the influences of techno by creating his own rare and innovative style.

Beck’s upcoming concert dates include performances in Manchester (June 4), Birmingham’s Symphony Hall (June 6) and York Barbican (the next day). It is currently unclear whether good old Johnny will continue to act alongside him in these places.
