Five campsites on the Dune of Pilat, including the one from the successful saga, have been destroyed by the fires that devastated Gironde.

Five campsites surrounding the Dune du Pilat (in the town of La Teste-de-Buch) have been devastated by the fires that have ravaged Gironde for a week. Among them, the “Flots Bleus” campsite, where the plot of the successful trilogy takes place Camping. Fabien Onteniente, director of this saga starring Franck Dubosc between 2006 and 2016, expressed this Tuesday on BFMTV his emotion at this “terrible news”:

“I had heard that the campsites were preserved, but the tide turned and was redirected to five campsites that are next to each other, in particular our ‘Flots Bleus’ campsite, he laments.” This is terrible news for the locals, because vacationers, for all the people who love this Aquitaine forest…”

“I’m upset,” he continues, “mostly because I have a lot of friends in Pilat and I think they too were forced to move, to leave their homes and businesses.”

“I’m already thinking” about helping

The question of the restoration of these campsites will soon arise. And if he refuses to give details, Fabien Onteniente will certainly participate in the effort: “We’re already thinking… There’s something, I can’t tell you yet.”

Franck Dubosc, who plays Patrick Chirac in all three parts of CampingHe also expressed himself on social networks: “Today Patricio is crying,” he wrote, while assuring: “We will rebuild our camp!”

Two fires broke out last Tuesday in Gironde, one in Landiras, south of Bordeaux, the other in La Teste-de-Buch, in the Bassin d’Arcachon. Seven days later, and despite the mobilization of firefighters, the fires continue to spread and 19,300 hectares have already been destroyed. 32,300 people were evacuated.
