In June, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) considered that the security conditions were not met for Ukraine to organize the competition and began negotiations with the United Kingdom, which came in second place, reaching an agreement on July 25.

Currently, seven British cities are vying for the venue of the musical event: Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield.

In addition to this musical cover, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also visited Ukraine for the third time on Wednesday and met with President Volodymyr Zelensky for the Independence Day celebration.
