98 patients were hospitalized for at least 60 days

According to the latest information from authorities at COVID-19 in Saskatchewan, more than 400 people have been hospitalized. On the other hand, more than half were admitted for another disease, but tested positive on COVID-19 upon arrival.

On April 27, 20 patients with COVID-19 were in intensive care.

According to data from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, 3,587 patients with COVID-19 were hospitalized between last October and the end of March. Of these data, 98 patients remained there for more than 60 days.

Even though it was a hundred people who stayed for more than 60 days, it takes energy, work, resources and personnel to keep these people alive. Very goodsaid Dr. Wong, an infectious disease specialist at Regina General Hospital.

He believes that even though the number of intensive care patients is lower now than in Alpha and Delta waves, the situation is still worrying.
