Public health reported on Friday that 1,288 people were hospitalized due to COVID-19, 27 fewer than the previous day.
Of this number, 36 patients were in intensive care, 7 less than the previous report.
According to data from the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MSSS), 61 additional COVID-19 patients were admitted to the hospital in the past 24 hours, while 88 patients were discharged.
Ten more patients also died of COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 15,400 since the pandemic began.
Quebec also listed 590 new cases of infection, bringing the number of confirmed cases in Quebec to 1,064,331 since February 2020.
The positivity rate is at 6.6% in Quebec, according to the latest data from MSSS.
However, the number of cases identified does not represent the situation, as access to screening centers is only possible for groups considered priority.
So far, more than 91% of Quebecers aged five and older have received a single dose of the vaccine for COVID-19, 55% have received the third dose and 14% the fourth dose, according to data from Ministry of Health and Quebec Social Services. .
