COVID-19: Quebec listed 31 additional deaths and 72 more hospitalized

The number of hospitalizations due to COVID-19 continues to rise in Quebec. Public health now reports 1,479 people to the hospital, 72 more than the previous day.

Quebec has also recorded 31 new deaths, a total of 14,442 since the pandemic began.

There are 69 people in intensive care. This number is stable compared to Monday.

For the samples, there were 15,540 on April 3, of which 1,346 were positive.

There are 151,791 self-reported rapid tests to date. Of them, 122,142 tested positive.

Regarding vaccination, 13,012 doses were given in the last 24 hours, and 526 before April 4, representing a total of 13,538 doses given.

At least 18,730,313 doses have been given since the pandemic began.

On Tuesday, the acting national director of public health of the province, Dr. Luc Boileau, has announced that Quebecers will need to continue to wear masks in indoor public areas and on public transportation until at least April 30.
